In her poster, Anna presents her work on how mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) from individuals with DNMT3A mutations signal to healthy hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) and suppress their cycling capacity.

The study reveals that these MSCs actively communicate with HSPCs, inducing cell cycle arrest and promoting a premalignant phenotype, which may contribute to the clonal advantage of DNMT3Amut HSCs in clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP).

These findings enhance our understanding of the role of MSCs in CHIP and their potential impact on hematopoietic diseases.
