In her poster, Stephani presentes her research on the molecular mechanisms driving CSNK1A1 mutation selection in the bone marrow of del(5q) MDS patients.
Utilizing murine models and various cellular assays, the research found that the E98V mutation confers a growth advantage and affects ferroptosis signaling pathways.
These findings suggest that targeting ferroptosis could be a potential therapeutic strategy for del(5q) MDS.
